FIRE Online Summer School Mixed Research Methods

FIRE is the Female International Research Network that brings together female professors from DHBW and its partner universitiesin East Africa and Southern Africa. FIREtalk is a project of Baden-Württemberg Stiftung and in FIREtalk we organize this online summer school.

Mixed methods for research become a necessity as the world becomes increasingly complex and research topics likewise. Against this backdrop we invite you to participate in our FIRE Online Mixed Research Method Summer School. Learn as a social science researcher how engineers do research and likewise. Get a grasp of statistical methods or qualitative research, if this has not been your expertise yet. The Summer School will be as exciting as those participating.

19 & 20 August 2024 (Online):
19 August at 9am Germany, Botswana, Rwanda, South Africa and Namibia and 10am Tanzania & Kenya until 3pm German time (DIFFERENT TIME ZONES).
20 August at 9am German time until 3pm German time.

Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM

The Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM supports the international exchange of students and vocationally qualified people. Since 2001, it has enabled more than 25,000 young people from Baden-Württemberg to gain experience abroad and allowed scholarship holders from other countries to visit Baden-Württemberg. Approximately 1,500 young people receive a Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM each year. www.bw-stipendium.de

Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM for University Students – BWS plus

With the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM for University Students – BWS plus, the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung supports innovative joint projects between universities from Baden-Württemberg and their international partners. The programme is endowed with approximately 1.2 million euros annually. Since 2011, more than 100 BWS plus projects have been supported at universities in Baden-Württemberg. FIRE is a project financed within the framework of the scholarship program of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM for university students - BWS plus. Aim of the program is to establish and build on new relationships with foreign universities and intensify existing contacts for the long term. FIRE is hosted at DHBW.
